Happy Easter...quite a bit late! I hope your's was as fun as our's was. It was Griffin's 1st Easter, and he was at a great age to at least dig through his Easter basket and be excited for the little toys. Claire, on the other hand, REALLY got Easter this year and was very much looking forward to her basket in the morning. She also learned about the non-Hallmark, true meaning of Easter at school this year. When she woke up on Sunday, she was a little confused and thought she may have to sit in the Easter Bunny's lap when we went downstairs in order to get her basket, but I reassured her that the Bunny had already gone home. She told me he went home to eat carrots. I told her that yes, he did go home to eat carrots and that he was very tired from bringing all the boys and girls their baskets. She said, "Yeah. He had to go to the store to get the carrots, Mommy." haha!
The Easter Bunny brought Claire 3 books: Little Critters Easter, Berenstein Bears Easter, and Twas the Night Before Easter. They're all really cute and Claire has read them over and over again. The real hit of the basket was her colored pencils! Colored pencils mean she has hit the big time, according to Claire :) She also got some eggs filled with Sesame Street stickers. Griffin got a teething toy and 6 different vehicles...dump truck, tow truck, police car, fire truck, etc. They are very simple and easy for him to roll and pick up. They also all connect together through a magnet so Claire has had fun linking them together for him, much like a train. While Griffin and Jeff ran some errands, Claire and I did an Easter Egg Hunt in the backyard. She had a blast and was SO fast at finding all of the eggs. I must have hid over 30 for her. I knew they'd come in handy again from her birthday party last year!
