Griffin Update-25 weeks!

I went to the doctor on Friday for my monthly appointment and got to see little Griffin in action again with a follow-up ultrasound to my 20 week ultrasound. They did this one at 25 weeks because he was being a little stubborn last month and she wasn't able to get all of the required pictures that she needed of certain things. I can't say I minded getting to see our little man again! He was stretching out his neck and swallowing some amniotic fluid, which was neat to see, and of course when she wanted to get a picture of his face, he had his hands in front of his face, and when she wanted to get a picture of his heart, he moved his hands in front of his chest :) Finally she got all of the pictures and measurements that she needed-I am actually glad he was being a little stubborn again because it was just that much longer that I got to watch him. Everything looked great-in fact, he's measuring in the 88th percentile compared to babies at 25 weeks! Let's hope he levels out that curve a little bit by the time August rolls around, for my sake! She said he's just under two pounds at this point-1lb 14oz. His heartbeat was 150 so that was good. I'll go back in 4 weeks and then after that I start going every 2 weeks-crazy how time is just flying by with this pregnancy! Claire turned 23 months on Monday and that really makes it seem like Griffin will be here soon. She'll turn 2 and then just 2 short months later, he'll be here! We'll get another ultrasound at 35 weeks to see his size and position so I am looking forward to seeing him one last time before his big arrival! We've been working on changing Claire's nursery into Griffin's room and of course on Claire's new "big girl" room. We're almost done with her new room and hope to make the transition to her "big girl bed" here by the end of the month. Pray for us that it goes well-I am nervous since she's such a good sleeper now, so we'll see!

Ultrasound of Griffin at 25 weeks. You can see his head, leg at the top, and his body. He was truly in the "fetal position" in this picture :)
